Introduction to sound design workshops
Immerse your students in the world of sound design. In just a few days, they will learn how to listen, record, and transform sound to bring their images and projects to life.
The introductory workshops on sound design allow schools and training organizations to provide their students with a concrete and guided discovery of sound creation.
Over a flexible duration of 1 to 4 days, I work with students in video games, cinema, animation, or visual arts to teach them the fundamentals of sound design through a pedagogy that balances theory, listening, and practice.
The goal is to make students independent in creating sounds from free resources, while providing them with the vocabulary and necessary references to communicate effectively with sound professionals about their projects (films, game prototypes, final year projects, etc.).
Each workshop revolves around a short audiovisual sequence that participants must completely re-sound and mix, following a progressive path:
Fundamentals of sound and sound recording
Refinement of listening and introduction to spotting
Recording techniques, alone or in small groups
Use of free sound banks
Introduction to Mixing and Sound Consistency
These workshops provide a complete immersion in sound creation, fostering curiosity, critical listening, and understanding of audio issues in visual and interactive projects.
- Flexible duration: 1 to 4 days
- Public: students in video games, cinema, animation, digital arts
- Format: school interventions, small group work
